"Melt" Father Daughter Dance 2014

May 29, 2014

At the end of last year I was asked to plan the father daughter dance
that our church puts on every other year.
I was thrilled to be considered and even with Jagger's impending arrival
a couple of months before the event I knew I wanted to do it.
I had an INCREDIBLE team that was creative, reliable, efficient and hardworking
and an absolute joy to work with!

At our first meeting I had a theme in mind
but quickly found out it had already been done in the past
so we started brainstorming for new ones.
Someone of course suggested "Frozen" since, hello, every child from 2 to 10
is pretty much obsessed with it and it is so "right now".
The fact that the dance would be held in April put us off that theme a little
but then one of my team members had the brilliant idea
of a "frozen" themed dance melting into spring.
So the dance was half "frozen" half spring, the theme verse was
"Anyone in Christ is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" - 2 Corinthians 5:17
and we called it "Melt"…
